John loves painting the Australian landscape mainly working in oils.  His techniques range from traditional realist work through impressionistic pieces with lots of broad brush and palette knife techniquest to semi-abstract and posteresque figurative images.  John's subject matter ranges from the harsh outback regions to the verdant costal scenery of the estern states of Australia.  His treatment of light on the trees and foliage is unique.  The subtelty of colour in his majestic panoramic vistas of the Blue Mountains is awe inspiring.

John's work has been acknowledged worldwide and his works are represented in many private and corporate collections in Australia and abroard.
