In Game 1 you are not relying upon luck to win... instead, you are developing your skills to make good decisions. The aim of the games is to purchase items and make change AND have the most amount of cash at the end of the game. REMEMBER these games are guides only... get creative... perhaps you will want to be the person who has spent the most!

24 Shopping Cards

2-4 players
Aged 5+
Game 1
Each child starts the game with notes to the value of $50.
Lay all the cards face-up on the table in rows. Order of the cards is not important.
Children take turns to collect a card and pay the amount of money shown on the card into the cash drawer. They must collect at least 2 cards from each shop.
Play continues until each child has collected and paid for 8 cards
(6 cards if there are 4 players)
The child with the most money left is the winner.
Game 2
Each child starts the game with notes to the value of $50.
Sort the cards into 3 decks based on their shop colour. _ yellow for Toy Shop, Green for Fruit & Vegetable Shop and Blue for Clothing Shop. Combine the 3 decks into one by putting one deck on top of another
Place them face down on the table.
Children take turns to collect the top card from the deck and pay the amount of money shown on the card into the cash drawer. Play continues until each child has collected and paid for 8 cards (6 cards if there are 4 players)
The child with the most money left is the winner.
